There have been some amendments to the skills development element of the BBBEE codes of good practice that were published on the 31st of May 2019 and are effective from the 1st of December 2019.
The amendments include an introduction of bursaries for black students at higher education institutions, allocating 4 points on the scorecard for meeting the target. Application of demographic targets will apply.
It is our view that the bursary implementation process should be responsible, benefiting students that have shown commitment. Our selection philosophy, screening and interviews is to ensure that the beneficiaries are selected for success. The institutions used must have the correct registration documentation to qualify for BBBEE point allocation. HSM Consulting and training work with registered institutions that can provide all documentation for the BBBEE verification process
We facilitate the bursary implementation and management process to make sure that you, our client is BBBEE compliant, liaise with the learning institution to ensure that the candidates are correctly registered and the documentation is gathered for verification. We make the process seamless by monitoring the project for the full term of the bursary agreement. We collect learner progress reports on behalf of the sponsoring company so they can be kept in the loop with regards to the learner’s progress.
Once the verification date has been set, we arrange the verification interviews with the students and supply a full verification file to our client.
Don’t be caught with the fine print of the codes. Let us take care of your requirements.
